Adaka Cultural Festival in Whitehorse
Adaka Cultural Festival has run since 2011 at Whitehorse's Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre, organized by the Yukon First Nations Culture and Tourism Association to showcase Yukon First Nations art, music, dance, and storytelling. Held in the long-daylight window of late June or early July, it pairs indoor concerts and theatre performances with an outdoor market where visitors can watch, and sometimes try, carving and beading firsthand.
Adaka Cultural Festival was established in 2011 by the Yukon First Nations Culture and Tourism Association as a dedicated showcase for Yukon First Nations art, music, and storytelling in Whitehorse.
