Braccanal Carnival in Cayman Brac
Braccanal is Cayman Brac's own carnival celebration, bringing costumed mas bands and street festivities to the Bluff on this small Sister Island, drawing thousands of locals and visitors and giving Cayman Brac an identity distinct from Grand Cayman's larger Batabano and CayMAS carnivals, even as those two mainland groups move toward a single unified event.
Braccanal brings Caribbean carnival tradition to the Bluff on Cayman Brac, the smaller Sister Island roughly 145 kilometers northeast of Grand Cayman, giving the Sister Islands their own standalone celebration rather than folding into the mainland's Batabano and CayMAS calendar.
