Little Cayman Mardi Gras in Little Cayman
Little Cayman's Mardi Gras is a homegrown carnival held the Saturday before Ash Wednesday, built around a float parade from Head O'Bay to Edward Bodden Airfield followed by a masquerade ball and dinner. Visitors travel over from Cayman Brac and Grand Cayman to join in, and all proceeds support the Little Cayman National Trust's conservation work on the island.
Little Cayman's Mardi Gras began as a small, homegrown carnival on the smallest and least populated of the three Cayman Islands, timed to the last Saturday before Ash Wednesday in the run-up to Lent.
