Bangui Fait Son Cinema in Alliance Francaise
Founded in 2020 by Central African filmmaker Sylviane Gboulou, Bangui Fait Son Cinema has grown into the capital's leading platform for African and Afro-descendant cinema, opening and closing at the Ledger Plaza hotel with a festival village at the Alliance Francaise de Bangui between. The sixth edition, in December 2025, screened thirty-nine films from around twenty countries, stayed free throughout, and ran its Cine-Espoir training program for young Central African filmmakers alongside the screenings.
Bangui Fait Son Cinema was created in 2020 by Central African filmmaker Sylviane Gboulou and has grown into the capital's main platform for African and Afro-descendant cinema, structured deliberately around two of the city's most recognizable venues: opening and closing ceremonies at the Ledger Plaza hotel, with a festival village set up at the Alliance Francaise de Bangui for the days in between.
