Festival Koura Gosso in Moundou

Festival Koura Gosso, whose name means young talent in the Ngambay language, is an annual music festival and market in Moundou, Chad's economic capital, created in 2017 by cultural entrepreneur Ernestine Netoua. Over four to seven days it showcases roughly thirty selected artists in short showcases for music industry professionals and the public, drawing performers from across Chad, Cameroon, and beyond.

Moundou, the capital of Chad's Logone Occidental province and the country's economic hub, is not the first place most people picture as a launchpad for African music careers, which is part of why Ernestine Netoua built Koura Gosso there.
