Festival DARY

Festival DARY is Chad's flagship national culture festival, held for about a month each December and January at Place de la Nation in N Djamena since its creation in 2018. Each day of the roughly month-long program spotlights two of Chad's twenty-three provinces in turn, showcasing regional crafts, cuisine, music, and dance under high-level government patronage to promote national unity across the country's many ethnic groups.

Since 2018, the Chadian capital N Djamena has hosted Festival Dary, an annual cultural celebration built around a distinctive structural idea: rather than presenting a single national culture, the festival devotes each day of its roughly month-long run to a rotating pair of Chad's twenty-three provinces, giving every region of the country a scheduled turn to present its crafts, cuisine, music, and dance at Place de la Nation in the capital.
