Days before La Tirana's main feast on July 16, dozens of costumed dance brotherhoods march into town for the Entrada de Bailes, the formal procession that opens the wider Fiesta de La Tirana. Diabladas, morenos, chinos and other groups present months of rehearsed choreography and elaborate costume work before the desert town's sanctuary, giving visitors a concentrated look at the scale of Chile's largest religious dance festival.
