Puerto de Ideas Valparaiso in Valparaíso
Puerto de Ideas Valparaiso is the founding, humanities-and-arts edition of Chile's leading ideas festival brand, running for roughly fifteen years each November mostly inside the Parque Cultural de Valparaiso. Its philosophical cafes and public talks bring Chilean and international writers, philosophers and historians together around a single yearly theme, distinct from the dedicated science focus of the brand's Antofagasta edition.
Puerto de Ideas began in Valparaiso and has run for roughly a decade and a half, making the port city both the founding host and the humanities-and-arts anchor of what has grown into Chile's best-known ideas festival brand.
