Beijing Design Week is an annual autumn design festival, running since the early 2010s, that spreads exhibitions, installations and talks across multiple sites in Beijing rather than one central venue. Its best-known anchor is the historic Dashilar hutong district near Tiananmen Square, where the festival has served since 2011 as a platform for design-led preservation of an area once threatened by aggressive redevelopment.
