Chengdu International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival in Chengdu

Chengdu's International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival gathers over 600 heritage projects and roughly 400 practitioners from more than 60 countries at the city's dedicated ICH Expo Park every two years, co-hosted with UNESCO and China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Programming centers on live craft and performance demonstrations, a heritage-themed parade, and practitioner dialogue sessions rather than static exhibits alone.

Six hundred intangible-heritage projects from more than sixty countries filled the Chengdu International Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park for a recent edition of this festival, with some four hundred practitioners flying in to demonstrate crafts and performance traditions rather than simply exhibit them behind glass.
