Shenzhen Design Week in Shenzhen

Shenzhen Design Week is the flagship annual showcase for the city's UNESCO City of Design status, combining major theme events, dozens of smaller programmes and open-ended branch venues across the city's design districts, anchored to a working design economy of tens of thousands of studios and hundreds of thousands of designers rather than a one-off trade show.

Shenzhen carries the UNESCO City of Design title, awarded in 2008, and its annual design week has grown into the anniversary showcase for that status, with a fifteenth-anniversary edition staged at the Bay Opera of Shenzhen jointly by the municipal government and the International Council of Design.
