Green Film Festival Barichara in Barichara
Created in 2011 by actors Toto Vega and Norida Rodriguez to build environmental awareness through film, Festiver has grown into a long-running, entirely free festival held in Barichara, a Santander plateau town declared a National Monument. Programming pairs open-air and indoor screenings of Colombian and international environmental films with training workshops for children, young people and adults.
Festiver, Barichara's green film festival, was created in 2011 by actors Toto Vega and Norida Rodriguez with an explicit environmental mission: using cinema and audiovisual media specifically to build awareness and sensitivity around environmental care and natural-resource stewardship, rather than showcasing film as an art form in isolation from its themes.
