Tremplins Mbote Hip Hop in Institut Francais du Congo
Since 2017, Tremplins Mbote Hip Hop has run as a talent pipeline for Congolese hip-hop artists aged fifteen to thirty-five, organized by the Institut Francais du Congo across disciplines from rap and dance to DJing, beatmaking and video. Roughly thirty finalists advance each year into an intensive professional training program. Its ninth edition extended selections to Kinkala, beyond Brazzaville.
Tremplins Mbote Hip Hop began in 2017 as a launchpad for Brazzaville's hip-hop generation, built by the Institut Francais du Congo around a simple premise: young urban artists across the Republic of Congo rarely got a structured route from bedroom talent to professional stage, so the festival built one.
