Begun in 2017, Garabito Perfecto is an itinerant arts programme moving through eight communities across Garabito canton - Guacalillo, Lagunillas, Tarcoles, Quebrada Ganado, Herradura, Playa Jaco, Hermosa and Quebrada Amarilla - rather than concentrating on Jaco alone. Free public performances span music, dance, theatre, circus and workshops by local and national artists, supported by the University of Costa Rica, reaching smaller communities that receive far less tourism investment than the canton's beach-resort capital.
