Playa Jaco's Festival de Arte, running annually since 2008 with backing from the Garabito Municipality, fills the town's central park and beach for three to six days each March with free, barrier-free programming across music, theater, dance, circus, painting, sculpture, crafts and photography, giving a surf-and-nightlife beach town an annual cultural counterweight.
