Rijeka Summer Nights spreads roughly fifty cultural programs, drama, opera, ballet, concerts and more, across about twenty city locations each June and July, turning streets, squares and parks into temporary stages. The season traditionally closes with an Opera in Flames gala by the Rijeka Symphony Orchestra.
Rijeka Summer Nights runs across roughly five weeks each June and July, spreading somewhere in the range of fifty separate cultural programs across around twenty different locations throughout the city, a structure specifically designed, according to organizers, to turn ordinary streets, squares, parks and other unexpected corners of Rijeka into temporary outdoor stages rather than concentrating everything into one central venue.
