Sibenik International Children's Festival in Sibenik

Founded in 1958, the Sibenik International Children's Festival brings Croatian and international theatre, puppetry, music and workshops aimed at children to the historic old town, with support historically drawn from UNICEF and UNESCO and the patronage of Croatia's president. Puppetry has remained a central strand since the festival's earliest editions.

The Sibenik International Children's Festival held its first edition in 1958, organized after the Council for Education and Culture of Sibenik's municipal government appointed a committee that May specifically to plan a first children's festival.
