Spancirfest Varazdin in Varazdin
Spancirfest, Croatia's first street festival, has run since 1999 in Varazdin's Baroque old town, drawing more than 100,000 visitors over ten days from late August into September. More than 500 individual programs, concerts, theatre, street performance and culinary events, fill the historic center's inner ring.
Spancirfest, whose name translates roughly as Stroller's Festival, has run each year since 1999 in Varazdin, making it Croatia's first dedicated street festival and, by most accounts, still one of its most heavily attended, drawing more than 100,000 visitors over its ten-day run from tourists across Croatia and neighboring countries alike.
