The story

Noviembre Fotografico in Havana

Running since 2006 and organised by the National Council of Plastic Arts with the Fototeca de Cuba, Noviembre Fotografico has grown into an international event bringing together upward of two hundred artists from more than a dozen countries across a month of exhibitions in Havana galleries and urban spaces. Editions have honoured landmark photographer anniversaries through dedicated colloquiums, paired historical exhibitions with contemporary work, and introduced new formats such as digital catalogues and thematic photography salons.

Noviembre Fotografico has run since 2006, organised jointly by Cuba's National Council of Plastic Arts and the Fototeca de Cuba, the country's dedicated photography archive and institution, positioning Havana and other Cuban provinces as a photography hub for the Caribbean and Latin America for the length of the month-long programme each November.
