The story

Punda Vibes in Punda

A free weekly street festival every Thursday evening in Willemstad's historic Punda district, with live music spanning tumba, tambu and seu to contemporary Caribbean genres, folkloric dance, craft markets and a closing fireworks display, running year-round without seasonal interruption. Live music spans traditional tumba, tambu and seu alongside contemporary Caribbean beats and local DJ sets.

Every Thursday evening, year-round, without seasonal interruption since Curacao sits outside the Caribbean hurricane belt, Punda's historic streets close to traffic and reopen as Punda Vibes, a free weekly street festival organised by the community initiative Punda Loves You that has become a fixture of Willemstad nightlife rather than an occasional special event.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Punda Vibes runs every single Thursday of the year rather than as a once-off annual festival, giving it a dependable, repeatable structure unlike Curacao's single-edition annual events, and closes with a fixed eight-fifteen fireworks display over Punda's historic waterfront, viewable from noted spots like Cascada Rooftop Bar and the Waterfort boogjes

02

The mystery stays covered

Folkloric dance groups in traditional dress perform alongside pop-up craft markets from local artisans and jewellers, giving the free weekly event a genuine showcase of Curacaoan craft alongside its music programming
