Limassol Wine Festival runs nine evenings in late September and early October in the Limassol Municipal Gardens, now past its sixtieth edition. Wineries staff pavilions flanking the entrance offering free tastings, alongside live music, traditional dance and food stalls, all beneath the entrance's giant winegrower statue, a fixture since 1961.
A giant statue of a Cypriot village winegrower in traditional local dress has greeted visitors at the main entrance of Limassol's Wine Festival since 1961, making the figure itself almost as old as the modern festival's establishment and giving the event a fixed visual identity that has outlasted six decades of otherwise-changing programming.
