Paphos Aphrodite Cultural Festival in Paphos
The Pafos Aphrodite Festival, established in 1999, is one of Cyprus's most important cultural institutions, staging opera, ballet and concerts at historic venues linked to Aphrodite. Its 24th edition ran September 4-5 in the square of the Paphos Medieval Castle, featuring Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore performed by the Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.
Each September, the square of the Paphos Medieval Castle becomes a stage for the Pafos Aphrodite Festival, an institution established in 1999 that has grown into one of Cyprus's most important cultural events.
