Aarhus Pride in Aarhus
Aarhus Pride has run since 2012 as Denmark's largest LGBT-focused public event outside Copenhagen, centred on a roughly 3.5-kilometre parade through the historical Latin Quarter that ends at Vester Alles Kaserne for a day-long festival. Unlike Copenhagen's week-long programme, it runs as a single dense day combining the parade with sports activities, a children's area and community stalls.
Aarhus Pride began in 2012 as a grassroots effort run by private individuals from the city's LGBT community, and has grown into the largest LGBT-focused public event in Denmark outside Copenhagen, now supported with funding from the city of Aarhus alongside its volunteer organisers.
