Tinderbox Festival in Odense

Tinderbox has run in Odense's Tusindaarsskoven forest since 2015, taking its name from a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale in the author's home city. Alongside a broad international pop and rock lineup, it runs Magicbox, a stage dedicated entirely to electronic music, a format unique among Denmark's major festivals, drawing tens of thousands across a three-day June weekend.

Tinderbox takes its name from The Tinderbox, one of Hans Christian Andersen's own fairy tales, a fitting borrow for a festival staged in Andersen's home city of Odense since its first edition in 2015.
