Alive Festival in Thisted
Alive Festival began in Thisted, a North West Jutland market town, in 2009, built around pairing breaking Danish pop and rock acts with local, aspiring regional bands. Running three days each July, it has become a cultural anchor for Thy, a sparsely populated coastal region better known for its national park and surfing than for major festivals, drawing visitors to a part of Denmark most festival tourism overlooks.
