Chulpicine Children's Film Festival in Quito
A free children's and youth film festival founded in Quito in 2002, screening Ecuadorian and international cinema for families at the national film archive, community centers and schools across Quito and seven surrounding provinces. Built around media literacy rather than industry premieres, it prioritizes neighborhoods with limited access to cultural programming and pairs screenings with discussion sessions for young audiences.
Chulpicine began in Quito in 2002 as a children's and youth film festival and became a legally constituted cultural and educational foundation two years later, in 2004.
