RiseUp Summit in Cairo

RiseUp Summit began in 2013 as a grassroots gathering at Cairo's GrEEK Campus, inspired by Austin's SXSW, and has grown into one of the region's largest entrepreneurship events, drawing well over a hundred thousand participants across a three-day marathon of keynotes, pitch competitions and investor meetings in recent editions.

RiseUp Summit started in 2013 as a grassroots experiment at the GrEEK Campus in downtown Cairo, after founding partner Muhammad Mansour returned from Austin's SXSW convinced the Middle East and North Africa needed its own version of that kind of concentrated founder-and-investor gathering.
