Forever Is Now in Giza

Forever Is Now, first staged in October 2021, places large-scale contemporary sculpture directly on the Giza Plateau within sight of the Great Pyramids, organized by Cairo-based initiative Art D'Egypte. Each edition invites international and Egyptian artists to create site-specific works responding to the pyramids, pairing modern sculpture with the ancient monuments in a rare direct dialogue.

Forever Is Now opened for the first time on 21 October 2021 directly on the Giza Plateau, placing large-scale contemporary sculpture within sight of the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, a UNESCO World Heritage site where installing temporary artwork required exceptional cooperation from Egyptian antiquities authorities.
