Wadi Natrun Monastery Festivals

Wadi Natrun's four active Coptic monasteries, Deir Anba Bishoy, the Syrian Monastery, Baramous and Deir Anba Maqar, each observe their own annual moulid tied to a founding saint rather than sharing one valley-wide festival. Deir Anba Bishoy's 15 July procession of its founder's traditionally incorrupt body is among the most distinct of these separate feast days.
