Festival Internacional Moda y Arte en Guinea Ecuatorial in Malabo

Festival Internacional Moda y Arte en Guinea Ecuatorial is Malabo's home-grown fashion week, created in 2022 by Casa de Moda Lucas Escalada to mentor young Equatoguinean designers alongside international names such as Alphadi and Ade Bakare. Editions run themed design challenges, from Sustainable and Presidential Fashion to Tech and Royal Fashion, across runway shows, workshops, fairs and exhibitions.

Ten young Equatoguinean designers got their first international stage in July 2022, when Casa de Moda Lucas Escalada launched the first Festival Internacional de Moda y Arte in Malabo alongside guest designers Alphadi, Frank Osodi, Ade Bakare and Jean Baptiste, names with real standing on the West and Central African fashion circuit.
