Started in 2000 as a single Hanseatic-themed market at Raatuse Square, Tallinn Medieval Days has grown into a July festival spanning multiple Old Town sites, organized by the Estonian Folk Art and Craft Union around trade, craftsmanship and costumed roles reflecting the merchants and sailors who actually moved through Tallinn's medieval harbor.
