Tartu Spring Fair, or Kevadlaat, turns central Tartu into a free, single-day open-air market each May, running from Town Hall Square along Kuuni Street to the riverside on the Emajogi. More than 300 vendors sell crafts, local food and spring gardening plants and seedlings, marking the seasonal start of Estonia's outdoor planting season.
