Nuits de Fourviere in Lyon
Nuits de Fourviere stages theatre, dance, music and circus performances each summer inside Lyon's ancient Roman theatre and odeon on Fourviere hill, ruins dating to the first century BC. Running June through July, the festival spans a genuinely wide artistic range within a historic open-air amphitheatre setting overlooking the Rhone and Saone confluence, giving Lyon a warm-weather performing arts counterpart to its better-known winter Festival of Lights.
