Akwasidae is the Sunday royal court day of the Ashanti Kingdom, recurring every forty-two days within the Akan adae cycle, when the Asantehene receives chiefs and subjects at Kumasi's Manhyia Palace while the sacred Golden Stool is displayed and royal ancestors are ceremonially honored. The rite has run continuously for over three centuries.

Every forty-two days, the Akan calendar marks out a cycle called adae, and within it falls Akwasidae, the Sunday court day when the Asantehene, king of the Ashanti Kingdom, receives his chiefs, elders and subjects at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
