Drama International Short Film Festival began in 1978 as a local film club initiative and became a Municipal Enterprise in 1996, growing into Greece's leading short film festival and an Oscar and European Film Academy qualifying event. Its six-day September programme runs five parallel competitions, international, national, international student, national student and documentary, based at the Municipal Conservatory and Olympia Cinema.
