Sani Festival in Kassandra
Sani Festival has run every summer since 1992 on Sani Hill within Sani Resort on the Kassandra peninsula, making it Greece's longest-running privately organized festival. What began as three nights of jazz has grown into a month-long mix of jazz, pop, rock, classical and indie acts, staged as the country's first carbon-neutral, renewable-powered music festival.
Sani Festival began in 1992 with three nights of jazz on a hillside inside a private beach resort, an origin that makes it, by most counts, the longest continuously running privately organized festival in Greece.
