Fiesta Patronal San Andres Xecul in San Andres Xecul
San Andres Xecul's fiesta patronal runs November 27 through December 1, centered on November 30, the feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle. Its brightly painted yellow parish church, decorated with folk-art saints and flowers, hosts the main mass and anchors a market selling clothing and sweets, with a palo volador pole dance sometimes performed in the plaza facing the facade.
San Andres Xecul, a small Totonicapan department town best known outside Guatemala for the riot of color on its parish church facade, holds its fiesta patronal from November 27 to December 1, with November 30, the feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle, as the principal day.
