Buba Carnival in Buba
Buba's Regiao de Quinara delegation competes in Guinea-Bissau's national carnival parade in Bissau each year, placing second nationally in a documented 2020 edition with a prize of 4,500,000 CFA francs. The group draws on Beafada and Mandinga costume and drumming traditions from across Quinara's four sectors.
Buba, the largest city in southern Guinea-Bissau and capital of the Quinara region, sends its own delegation, Regiao de Quinara, into the country's national carnival parade each year, one of eight regional groups that compete alongside Bissau's own neighborhood blocos on the judged parade route in the capital.
