Festival Garifuna de Trujillo in Trujillo/Cristales/Rio Negro

Trujillo's mid-April Festival de la Cultura Garífuna, centered in the Cristales and Río Negro communities where exiled Garifuna settlers first landed in 1797, features traditional drumming, dance performances and Garifuna cuisine, rooted in one of the earliest and most historically significant Garifuna settlement sites in Honduras.
