The story

Shi Fu Miz Festival in Cheung Chau

Shi Fu Miz is a house and techno festival founded in 2016 by Hong Kong agency FuFu Creative and France's La Mamie's crew, historically staged at Saiyuen Camping Adventure Park on Cheung Chau island's southwestern tip. Multi-day editions have combined open-air, forest and beachside stages with international and local DJ lineups in a deliberately rural, off-the-grid setting.

A house and techno festival born from a Hong Kong creative agency teaming up with a French DJ collective, Shi Fu Miz has for most of its history unfolded on a farm at the southwestern tip of Cheung Chau island, spreading stages across forest paths, open-air clearings and beachside installations at Saiyuen Camping Adventure Park.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Its defining feature is the setting: rather than a warehouse or club, the festival has spread stages across a working farm's forest paths and beachside clearings, giving attendees a camping-festival atmosphere unusual for Hong Kong's otherwise dense, urban electronic music scene, all reachable by a short outlying-island ferry

02

The mystery stays covered

Few electronic music events anywhere in the region combine a genuine farm and coastline setting with this level of proximity to a major international city centre
