Budapest Design Week in Budapest
Launched in 2004 by the Hungarian Design Council to build public trust in design, Budapest Design Week runs each early October as both a professional trade platform and public showcase, spreading exhibitions and open studios across Budapest design venues. Participating studios frequently coordinate joint open-house hours to make a single walking route through the city practical.
The Hungarian Design Council launched Budapest Design Week in 2004 with a specific mission: promote design's role in the economy and society and build public trust in design as a professional discipline rather than an ornamental afterthought.
