Holloko Easter Festival in Holloko
A four-day Easter gathering in Holloko's UNESCO-listed Palic village, built around egg-painting, folk dance, and the traditional Easter Monday water-sprinkling ritual known as locsolkodas. Visitors move between museum buildings on one combined ticket while plum-dumpling demonstrations and folk dance lessons fill the narrow streets of the historic core throughout the long weekend.
Fifty-six late-seventeenth-century houses make up the Old Village of Holloko, a Palic settlement in Nograd county that UNESCO placed on its World Heritage list in 1987 for having preserved its traditional layout and building methods almost untouched.
