Kolorado Festival in Nagykovacsi
A deliberately small forest festival in the Buda Hills, capped at around a thousand attendees since its 2016 launch on a scouting-park site, mixing electronic and indie music with art installations and family-oriented nature programming. Its capped, intimate scale and forested setting have earned it recognition on a Guardian list of small but mighty festivals.
A scout park between the villages of Nagykovacsi and Budakeszi, used by Hungarian scouting groups since 1991, became the home of Koloradó Festival when it launched in 2016 as a deliberately small, boutique gathering in the Buda Hills near Budapest.
