Veszprem Street Music Festival in Veszprem
Founded in 1999 as a street-busking competition, Veszprem's July music festival now spans twelve outdoor venues with around 20,000 daily visitors, mixing Hungarian buskers with international touring acts across world, blues, reggae, and rock genres, all free and open-air. Some original busking competition performers are invited back years later as established touring acts.
A group of young local music and culture enthusiasts founded the Veszprem Street Music Festival in 1999 as a busking competition designed to find the best street musician in the country, staged across Veszprem's historic squares.
