Sequences Art Festival in Reykjavík

Sequences is Reykjavik's biennial contemporary art festival, founded in 2006 by three artist-run organizations and running every other year since 2009 (it was annual only in its first three editions). Each roughly ten-day edition, staged across galleries and temporary spaces around the city, is shaped by a newly invited guest curator, keeping the festival's focus on performance, sound, video, and public interventions in flux.

Sequences began in 2006 in Reykjavik as a joint project of three artist-run organizations: Kling og Bang Gallery, The Living Art Museum, and the Icelandic Art Center.
