A nine-day Hindu festival centered on Bengaluru's Dharmaraya Swamy Temple, opening with a flag-hoisting rite and centered on the worship of Draupadi. A priest in bridal dress carries a floral pyramid through the old city at night in a trance state, escorted by sword-wielding Veerakumaras, culminating on the Chaitra Purnima full moon after a pre-dawn bath at Sampangi Lake.

At Bengaluru's Dharmaraya Swamy Temple in Thigalarpete, the Karaga priest fasts and observes strict celibacy through the days leading up to Chaitra Purnima, then on the festival's central night is dressed in a nine-yard silk sari and bridal jewelry to carry a pyramid of jasmine and kanakambara flowers on his bare head through the old city.
