An annual Kumbha-month festival at Chettikulangara Bhagavathy Temple near Mavelikkara, Kerala, where thirteen village communities build and haul giant kettukazhcha effigies, including six towering kuthira horse structures up to a hundred feet tall and five chariot-like theru, alongside figures of Bhima, Hanuman, and Panchali, into the temple grounds overnight.

At Chettikulangara Bhagavathy Temple near Mavelikkara in Kerala's Alappuzha district, thirteen villages, or karas, jointly build and haul towering effigies of horses and bulls for the annual Kumbha Bharani festival, held in the Malayalam month of Kumbha, corresponding to February-March.
