Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival

Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival, launched October 2011 by the regency government, showcases Using or Osing ethnic culture through a costume parade explicitly modeled on Rio-style carnival aesthetics rather than a religious procession. Participants walk a two-and-a-half-kilometer route from Taman Blambangan to the Regent's Office in elaborate costumes built around a new theme each year, part of the broader Banyuwangi Festival calendar.
