Jakarta Fashion Week, initiated in 2008 by Femina Group with the DKI Jakarta Tourism Office, builds on an older designer competition dating to 1978. Held each late October to early November, now at Pondok Indah Mall 3 since 2022, its invite-only program mixes runway shows with side events like Fashionlink and the DEWI Luxe Market, featuring designers such as Anne Avantie and Dian Pelangi.

Femina Group initiated Jakarta Fashion Week in 2008 with backing from the DKI Jakarta Tourism Office and designer associations APPMI and IPMI, building on a much older designer competition, Lomba Perancang Mode, that dates to 1978 and had paused between 1997 and 2002 during the Asian monetary crisis.
