Jakarta Film Week in Jakarta

Founded in 2021 by the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Department to help revive the film industry after COVID-19, Jakarta Film Week runs each November as a hybrid program of in-person screenings across venues like CGV Grand Indonesia and Kineforum, plus online streaming via Vidio. It includes competitive Global Feature and Global Short sections, an Official Selection, masterclasses, and a producers' funding scheme.

The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Department founded Jakarta Film Week in 2021 specifically to help revive the local film industry after the disruption of COVID-19, staging its inaugural edition from November 18 to 21 that year.
